Bobba Fett follows Han to the cloud city of Bespin and so do IG-88B who on the planet is ambushed by Fett then killed and left in the furnace area.įett gets the bounty and on his way back in a revenge attack is engaged in a space batt e by IG-88C who in a brilliant move by Fett is destroyed, soon after D comes out of Hyper space and in a space battle with Fett has his IG-2000 damaged he gets destoryed byt Dash Rendar on Ord Mantell .Ī planed a droid revoultion on Mechis III and takes control of the Death Star II which is destroyed IG-88A is later found and reactivated but ceases to be a bounty hunter. The IG's work as a loose team greatly increasing their chances of a successful hunt. The Biggest Bounty the Five Partisipate in os the hunt for Han Solo IG-88A being in the Star Destroyers Bridge along with Boba Fett and the rest.
Somehow the IG-88 find their way into Bounty hunting, they are well suited to this being Assassin droids who are heavily armed with various weapons. The IG-88's at the space port come across their ships the IG-2000 before leaving A offers the older IG-72 an upgrade to the 88 level be declines the one time team of the 88's and 72 split up never to meet again. The IG's then tore the Hollowan labs apart in their escape killing everyone there. IG-88A was activated by the technictions at Hollowan in order to test them but A broke his programming and killed the technictions then activated the other four 88's and the one IG-72. The IG-88 Series of Assassin droid were requested by the Banking Clan as new unit to bolster their forces how ever the order was never fulfilled as the Banking Clan were defeated in the Clone Wars, however five IG-88's and one prototype the IG-72 were made at the Hollowan Labs on Mechis III.
